The Mock Round is essentially a practice round. It is designed to give candidates a realistic idea of the college and branch they might be allotted based on their current merit and filled choices. Important: A mock allotment is not a final admission. After the mock round results are declared, candidates are given a window to alter, add, or delete their choices before the actual Round 1 seat allotment.
This is the official allocation of seats. If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 1, they must decide whether to accept it by paying the token fee, or opt for an upgrade in Round 2. If a candidate goes for Round 2 and gets a new seat, the Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled and allotted to someone else.
