Once the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) compiles the data from the education boards and GUJCET scores, the state merit list is prepared. Here is how you can check your rank:
For students applying under the Gujarat State Quota, ACPC calculates the "Merit Marks" using a standard weightage formula to ensure fairness among different education boards.
Note: For candidates applying through the All India Quota (AIQ) or Management Quota, a separate merit list is published purely based on the All India Rank (AIR) secured in the JEE Main examination.
ACPC typically releases the merit list in two stages. Understanding the difference is crucial to ensure your admission data is accurate.
The provisional merit list is published first. It is an initial draft of rankings based on the documents uploaded during registration. It provides candidates a window to review their data. If your board marks, category (SC/ST/SEBC), or EWS status are wrongly recorded, you have a 3-4 day window to raise a query and upload corrected documents.
After resolving all candidates' grievances and document corrections, ACPC publishes the Final Merit List. Your rank on this final list is binding and will be used to determine all subsequent seat allotments in the mock round and actual counselling rounds.
Once the Final Merit List is declared, ACPC initiates the Choice Filling process. First, a Mock Round (trial round) is conducted so students can understand the software and gauge their probability of securing admission in specific branches based on their final state merit rank.
You can reference the previous years' ACPC Cutoffs using your final rank to strategically arrange your college preferences in decreasing order of priority.
If you find your name missing from the Provisional Merit List or notice incorrect category/marks details, immediately log in to the admission portal and navigate to the 'Raise Query' or 'Grievance' tab. State your issue clearly and attach the relevant authentic documents as proof.
Grievances are only entertained between the release of the provisional list and the final list. Once the final merit list is published, ACPC will not entertain any requests to alter marks, percentiles, or category statuses.
You can check your merit rank by logging into the official ACPC admission portal (gujacpc.admissions.nic.in) using your User ID and password. Navigate to the 'Rank Card' or 'Candidate Profile' section to download it.
If you find any discrepancies in your provisional merit list (e.g., incorrect board marks or category), you must raise a query/grievance through the online portal with supporting documents before the specified deadline.
ACPC releases separate merit lists. For state-quota seats, the merit is based on 60% Board Theory marks and 40% GUJCET percentile. For the All India Quota, a separate merit list is created based purely on the JEE Main All India Rank.
Once the final merit list is published, the mock round of choice filling officially begins. Candidates can start selecting their preferred colleges and branches based on their final state rank.
